By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Aug. 29: Two women – one each from Kathmandu and Bhaktapur - have succumbed to COVID-19 while under treatment at Patan Hospital.
The woman from Kathmandu was aged 51 and the woman from Bhaktapur was 61 years old.
Upendra Aryal, officer at Lalitpur District Health Office, informed that 51-year old woman from Kathmandu passed away at about 11 pm on Friday night while the 61-year old woman from Bhaktapur breathed her last at 6:40 am on Saturday while under treatment in the ICU.
The woman from Bhaktapur was admitted to the hospital on August 19 while the woman from Kathmandu was brought to the hospital on August 14 for treatment of the deadly infection.
