By Baburam Devkota, Sindhulimadhi, Mar. 14: Two persons died while 24 others sustained injuries when a tripper truck carrying the bridegroom's men met with an accident at Thakur Khola in Dudhauli Municipality-5 of Sindhuli district.
The two died while under treatment at Sidhuli hospital and Sirthouli primary health center.
The tripper with registration number Na. 3 Kha 7490 overturned at Thakur Khola Bridge Sunday night.
The bride and the groom stayed safe as they were travelling in a separate vehicle.
Of the injured, six are said to be in serious condition. Seven of the injured have been sent to Biratnagar-based Neuro Hospital, four to Kathmandu, one to Katari-based Sagarmatha hospital and the other two are getting treatment at Sindhuli hospital.
Bimal Raj Kandel, chief of the district police office, Sindhuli, said that the driver of the tripped has been arrested for investigation over the accident.
