By TRN Online, Kathmandu, July 30: The Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) has confirmed three COVID-19 deaths today.
"A 45-year old male of Sunbarsi Municipality-8, Morang, who had tested positive for COVID-19 died while receiving treatment in Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences (BPKIHS), Dharan on July 29," said Dr. Jageshwor Gautam, spokesperson of the ministry in the daily press briefing today.
He had consequently traveled to India, said Dr. Gautam. After sensing some difficulty in breathing and suffering from high fever, he was admitted to Biratnagar COVID-19 hospital. He was then shifted to BPKIHS, Dharan after his health condition deteriorated.
Likewise, a 70-year old male COVID-19 patient of Birgunj Metropolitan City (BMC)-7, Parsa breathed his last at 11:00 AM on July 29.
He was also suffering from diabetes and chronic heart disease. After testing positive for the virus, he was admitted to Narayani Hospital, Parsa on July 23, where he was receiving treatment in ICU.
Moreover, a 68-year old male of BMC-5, who tested positive for the virus on July 22, breathed his last at 3:00 AM on July 29.
With this, the COVID-19 fatality in Nepal has reached 52 and the total case load has reached 19,547 with 14,248 cases of recovery.
