Services for HIV, anti-rabies vaccine to continue
By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Apr. 13: The Sukraraj Tropical and Infectious Disease Hospital known as Teku hospital will treat only the COVID-19 patients as the number of the infected people has gone up in recent days in the Kathmandu valley and the number of the infected getting admitted in the hospital has risen lately.
Dr. Sher Bahadur Pun, medical officer of the hospital, informed the TRN Online that the hospital will provide treatment services to the COVID-19 patients only although vaccine services of HIV and anti-rabies will continue.
All other services will be halted for the time being, he said.
Dr. Pun said 20 COVID-19 patients were undergoing treatment in the hospital presently.
Patan Hospital has also been treating Corona patients since the pandemic hit the country, said Dr. Bishnu Prasad Sharma, former director of the Patan Academy of Health Sciences.
