By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Jan. 31: Ministry of Home Affairs has suspended Saurav Rana, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP).
On receiving a complaint accusing Rana of sexual misconduct, we have suspended him, said Umakanta Adhikari, Deputy Secretary and Information Officer of the Ministry.
Adhikari informed that Rana was suspended on Thursday.
The ministry has completed the investigation and has sent the report to the police headquarters, Adhikari said.
A lady from Dharan had met the Minister for Home Affairs, Ram Bahadur Thapa ‘Badal’ and Secretary Prem Kumar Rai, and had complained about Rana sexually abusing her.
SSP Rana, however, has been denying all the allegations.
