By Premraj Simkhada, Kalikot, July 29: Seven members of a family have been killed when the landslide buried a house in Naraharinath Rural Municiplaity-7 in Kalikot district on Tuesday night.
Gange Buda and his six family members got buried after Budha's house collapsed due to landslide, according to the District Police Office, Kalikot.
Yakshya Raj Joshi, information officer of Area Police Office, Kalikot, said, "The buried dead bodies of the seven family members were recovered soon after the incident.”
There were eleven members in the house when the landslide hit it. Seven out of the total 11 passed away in the incident, he added.
The deceased are identified as Gange Buda, 65, his wife, Naina, 61, his daughter Bimala, his daughter in-law, Kusha, 24, his granddaughter, Chandrika, 10, his two grandsons, Ram, 4, and Charitra, one and a half years old.
Though Bimala Buda was rescued from the accident but she passed away while being taken to the hospital for treatment.
Meanwhile, the remaining four members saved themselves by running away from the natural calamity.
