By Chhetu Sherpa, Kathmandu, Mar. 1: Improvement works for the security arrangements at Tribhuvan International Airport have been started.

Teknath Sitaula, the spokesperson of the TIA, said that the airport management has started the maintenance work in the field saying that the security arrangements have been challenged due to the weakening of the outer layer.

He informed that after the inspection of the airport, the work was started to clear the bushes, repair the security posts, repair the wire fence and add electric lights and CCTV at night.

After the airport found the area up to Sinamangal Chowk, Koteshwor, Jadibuti and Pepsi Cola to be more sensitive, immediate wire fence repair, bush cleaning and additional finishing work have been started.
