By Saroj Dhungel, Kathmandu, March. 2: All 175 Nepali nationals who were airlifted from Wuhan, China, have tested negative for COVID-19.
Health report of 157 quarantined Nepalis delivered on Monday revealed that none of the Wuhan returnees were affected from the deadly virus, said Dr. Nabin Phuyal, doctor for the Nepal Army (NA).
18 among the 175 returnees were sent to their families on Sunday.
“Today, we will be bidding farewell to remaining 157 amid a special program at Kharipati itself,” informed Bikash Devkota, Spokesperson for Ministry of Health and Population.
State Minister for Health and Population, Nabaraj Raut, will be bidding farewell to 157 Nepalis and seven health workers today.
Chief District Officer (CDO) of Bhaktapur, Humkala Pandey, has already reached Kharipati to send the Wuhan returnees back to their families.
