By A Staff Reporter, Kathmandu, Feb. 23: Twelve fine artists painted different ethnic folk arts on their canvases at a province-level art workshop in Kathmandu.
The two-day workshop organised by the Folk Art Department of Nepal Academy of Fine Arts concluded on Monday.
SC Suman, Sanjay Bantawa, NB Gurung, Ranju Yadav, Merina Chitrakar, Pewa Wangmo Lama, Ruby Kumari Karn, Rajani Sinkhwal, Ramwati Chaudhary, DB Rai, Kiran Singu Limbu and Gita Thakur participated in the event.
They painted folk arts of Mithila, Newar, Tharu, Rai, Limbu, Tamang and Gurung communities.
Chancellor of the academy KK Karmacharya distributed the certificate of appreciation to the participating artists at the concluding ceremony.
Head of Folk Art Department Mithila Devi Yadav said that such an event would be organised in other provinces as well.
