By Lucky Chaudhary, Kathmandu, July 17: The ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP) has called the meeting of its Secretariat for Saturday to resolve the ongoing intra-party feud.
After Chairmen of the NCP, Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli and Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’, couldn’t reach a consensus despite sitting for talks a number of times, the Secretariat meeting has been called for 3:00 in the afternoon on Saturday at the PM’s residence, Baluwatar, informed former PM and member of NCP Secretariat, Jhalanath Khanal.
The meeting of Standing Committee was called for today at 11:00 am, which was postponed to 4:00 in the evening. After the NCP bosses failed to forge an agreement, the Standing Committee meeting was again postponed for 3:00 pm on Sunday.
Chairman Prachanda has been demanding resignation of PM Oli from the post of Prime Minister. PM Oli, on the other hand, has been stating that there is no justifiable grounds to resign from the post.
Senior leader Khanal said that discussions over intra-party differences would be held openly in the Secretariat meeting on Saturday.
