By Dhirendra Prasad Sah, Janakpur, Mar. 1: The child marriage of nine girls taking place in different places of Dhanusha district has been stopped.
According to the District Police Office, Dhanusha, the child marriage of nine girls has been stopped due to child marriage in various local level wards of the district.
According to Dhanusha Police Spokesperson, DSP Jitendra Kumar Basnet, the number of child marriages has been stopped by the police since last January.
According to Basnet, based on confidential information received at the Women, Children and Senior Citizen Service Center (WCSCSC), police deployed from District Police Office, Dhanusha stopped the child marriages in coordination with the girl's parents, judicial committee, civil society and women's groups.
