By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Dec. 21: Senior leader of the ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP) Madhav Kumar Nepal has said that Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli had unconstitutionally dissolved the parliament after he fell into minority.

Speaking to the media persons after attending a meeting of the members of the House of Representatives held at New Baneshwor, leader Nepal said, "Prime Minister does not have the constitutional authority to dissolve the parliament. The decision will not be acceptable just like that. As the parliamentarians are against this step taken by the Prime Minister, we will not accept it."

Leader Nepal also claimed that the lower house of the Federal Parliament would be reinstated by adopting all political and constitutional measures.

"A total of 114 members of the Federal Parliament, 90 of HoR and 24 of the National Assembly have already signed against the decision. Leader Raghubir Mahaseth, who is considered to be closed to Prime Minister Oli, has also signed," added Nepal.

He further stated that as Chairman Oli was proved to be incompetent within the party, action against him will be taken from the party.

Stating that the step taken by the President was also condemnable, Nepal added, "The meeting of Parliamentary Party is being held while the parliamentarians have been opposing it. We will not accept this decision at any cost."

Leader Nepal added that as the Standing Committee meeting of the party was ongoing and as the Central Committee meeting will also be held soon, Prime Minister Oli's step would be disapproved by fulfilling all the procedures.
