By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Mar. 10: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli will be kept in the hospital for a few more days as per the request of his family members.

Speaking at the press meet held today at TU Teaching Hospital, Dr. Dibya Singh Shah, PM Oli's personal physician, said that PM’s family members had requested the hospital to keep him for a few more days in the hospital.

He should keep distance from crowd to prevent any sort of possible infections, she added.

Dr. Shah said that PM’s family members had requested the hospital to keep him for a few more days in the hospital.

However, the PM wants to go home as soon as possible, she added.

PM Oli had a successful renal transplantation a week ago at the TUTH.

According to the doctors involved in the renal surgery, it will take six months for the Prime Minister to fully recuperate and be fully active.

PM Oli's personal physician Dr. Shah said, “PM will fully recover from the renal transplant surgery held a week ago in about six months.”

“We would not recommend the PM to participate in any kind of crowded functions,” she said. “It wouldn’t be problematic for him to carry out his day-to-day official works. However, it could take six months for him to walk around normally like others.”

Dr. Shah further said that the PM wouldn’t be discharged from the hospital until the doctors have full confidence in his health status.

“We won’t discharge PM Oli until we become confirmed and confident about his heath,” added Dr. Shah.

His health is improving effectively and we believe that he will be discharged shortly, she added.
