By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Dec. 11: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli and Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba held a meeting this evening at Baluwatar, the official residence of the Prime Minister.
The meeting is said to have been centered on calling the meeting of the Constitutional Council (CC) for Sunday.
Subash Nembang, deputy leader of the Parliamentary Party of the ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP), said that the discussions were held about holding the CC meeting on Sunday in the meeting between the Prime Minister and the leader of the opposition party.
According to Nembang, agreement has been made to call the CC meeting at 9 am on Sunday.
As per the constitutional provision, opposition party leader is a member of the Constitutional Council and that many positions in the constitutional commissions have remained vacant due to failures to hold the CC meeting in time.
Prime Minister Oli and NC President Deuba were accompanied by NC leader Lekhak and NCP leader Nembang in their meeting.
