By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Feb. 22: Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba and CPN (UML) Chair KP Sharma Oli have held a discussion at the Prime Minister's official residence at Baluwatar.
CPN (UML) is the main opposition party in the parliament.
Ram Sharan Bajagain, Chair Oli's press coordinator, informed that Chair Oli went to Baluwatar for a meeting with PM Deuba at about 6 pm.
Earlier, on Feb 7, PM Deuba had reached Chair Oli's residence to hold a discussion.
Deputy chief of the publicity department of the UML, Bishnu Rijal, said that the meeting was centered on the endorsement of the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) compact by the parliament.
The UML reitereated its stand to support the MCC endorsement if only the 14 lawmakers who formed a new party were dismissed as members of the House of Representatiaves (HoR) while PM Deuba sought UML support to endorse the MCC as there was no consensus till the date on the issue within the ruling alliance, according to Rijal.
