By Vijay Kumar Shah, Dhalkebar, Feb. 14: The Janakpur-Jayanagar railway service will be inaugurated by Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba and Indian Prime minister Narendra Modi jointly through virtual means.
According to Niranjan Jha, general manager of Nepal Railway Company, discussions are underway between the diplomats of the two countries to jointly inaugurate the regular operation of the train by Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba and his Indian counterpart Narendra Modi.
The Kurtha-Janakpur-Jayanagar train service has started on Sunday as a technical test. The inauguration date will be fixed within a day or two. He has confidence that the inauguration will take place at the end of the second week of February.
