By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Feb. 15: Paragliding in Pokhara, which holds much importance in the development of tourism, is being developed as the 'go-to' adventure sport for many.
A total of 100 pilots had participated in the international paragliding competition last year.
Pilot Aashish Thapa, who had secured the sixth position in the competition last year, said that paragliding had a good prospect if the government invested in it. Many youths have received employment opportunities directly or indirectly from the paragliding business.
Even though the business was hit hard by the COVID-19 pandemic, the craze of paragliding in Pokhara has been increasing like pre-pandemic times.
