By Amrit Prasad Paudel, Beni, Oct. 30: At least a person died while 11 others got injured when a jeep with registration no. Dha 1 Ja 896 veered off the road and landed on the bank of the Kali Gandaki River at Galeshor Beni road section in Myagdi district.
Of the injured, three including the driver of the jeep are said to be in critical condition and have been referred to hospitals in Pokhara for treatment.
The jeep was heading for Beni from Thadakhani, Raghuganga Rural Municipality-6 and met with the accident at the border between 8 and 9 wards of Beni Municipality.
Doctor Prasad Chaudhari, information officer and inspector at the Myagdi District Police Office, informed that investigation was underway about the cause of the accident and 12 passengers were found to be in the ill-fated jeep.
