By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Apr. 11: The locals have resorted to vandalism of the office of the Nagdhunga Tunnel Construction Project.
Sudip Giri, senior superintendent of police (SSP) at the Metropolitan Police Range, informed that the locals of the Dahachowk-Sisnekhola tunnel have vandalized the project office blaming the project has led to the drying of their drinking water sources.
He said the locals had been creating obstacles time and again claiming that the project had led to the drying of the water sources.
'The locals had obstructed even in the past. Then an agreement was inked between the locals and drinking water projects and the construction work had resumed. This time, they again vandalized the office. However, there has not been much damage to the office and the situation now is under control,' he said.
SSP Giri said a discussion was underway between the project and the locals.
