By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Apr. 21: The number of COVID-19 cases has reached 42 in Nepal.
After 11 new cases were confirmed in mosque area of Bhulke, Udayapur, the number reached 42, informed Dr. Bikash Devkota, Spokesperson of the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP).
The number of COVID-19 infections in Udayapur itself has reached 23.
Three persons tested positive for the virus in 240 swab tests done today, out of 260 swabs brought from Udayapur at National Public Health Laboratory (NPHL), Kathmandu. While 20 swab tests are being conducted, informed MoHP by issuing a press statement today evening.
Furthermore, eight persons of the same area had tested positive for the virus in PCR test done by Koshi Hospital by collecting 69 swab samples on Saturday.
The swab samples of eight COVID-19 suspects were re-tested today at BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences, Dharan, where the virus infection in all samples was confirmed.
