By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Feb.1: The Chinese Embassy in Nepal has assured that Nepali citizens, including some students residing in Wuhan, would receive medical care amid the Coronavirus outbreak.
Issuing a press release today, the embassy said that China would take proactive measures to protect the legitimate rights and interests of Nepais in China.
The Chinese government has been striving to prevent spread of Coronavirus within and outside China, informed the embassy.
"The Chinese government will perform its international obligations in a highly responsible manner, make every effort to ensure the health of foreign citizens in China, and address the legitimate concerns of all parties," read the release.
The embassy further lined that the Chinese tourists to Nepal would decline due to the epidemic.
After the epidemic is under control, we will continue to encourage more Chinese tourists to visit Nepal and contribute to the 2020 Visit Nepal Year, the release said.
Until January 31, the Coronavirus outbreak has taken lives of 259 people in China. 11,791 people have been infected by the virus while 243 people have been cured.
Likewise, 106 people outside the Chinese boundary are confirmed to have succumbed to coronavirus while no death has been recorded outside China.
