By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Feb. 3: World Health Organisation (WHO) has congratulated Nepal for reaching a milestone by vaccinating over 70% of the adult population, people aged above 18, against COVID-19.
"Reaching 70% landmark is a collective success of Nepal its partners, it demonstrates what is possible when we work together with solidarity and coordination," the WHO said in its congratulatory message issued today.
According to the government of Nepal, 70.7% targeted (adult) population has got the full dose of the COVID-19 vaccine while 86.9% of the targeted population has got at a single dose of the vaccine.
