By TRN Online, Kathmandu, July 2: The Standing Committee meeting of the ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP) has concluded for today. The next meeting will be held on July 4.
Narayan Kaji Shrestha, NCP spokesperson, informed after the meeting that those standing committee members who put forth their views today expressed assumption whether the party was facing a critical condition for its unity and underscored the need of mutual talks and discussions among top leadership for protecting and strengthening party unity at any cost.
He said that the leaders emphasised on talks among top leadership at the earliest, today or tomorrow.
The meeting has for the same reason been postponed till July 4.
Even today, the standing committee meeting of the ruling party had resumed after deferring for a while. The meeting had resumed after party Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda' returned to the meeting after holding a meeting with President Bidya Devi Bhandari.
