By Suresh Kumar Yadav, Kathmandu, Feb. 26: The ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP) has decided to recommed party’s vice-chair Bamdev Gautam as the member of National Assembly (NA).
The meeting of NCP Secretariat, held today at PM’s residence, Baluwatar decided to forward Gautam's name to the government for recommending him as NA member, informed Narayankaji Shrestha, Spokesperson of the party.
However, the Council of Ministers had recommended Gautam prior to NCP’s decision. The decision of the central secretariat of the ruling party seemed only to approve the Cabinet's recommendation.
The meeting has also decided to pause the subject relating to amendment to the Constitution for some time.
