By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Dec. 24: The ongoing Central Committee (CC) meeting of the Nepal Communist Party (NCP) Prachanda-Nepal faction has decided to stage a demonstration on December 29 in all the districts against the dissolution of the House of Representatives (HoR).
The CC meeting of the NCP also decided that all the CC members would gather at Maitighar Mandala at 9:30 tomorrow and then go to Election Commission and then hold a press meet at 2 pm.
According to Ram Prasad Sapkota Deepshikha, a CC member of the NCP, the meeting also decided to conclude the meeting of the provincial committees of the party within a week, hold an assembly of the sister organisations by Dec 29 and hold district committee meetings on Dec 27.
A 2501-member struggle committee to coordinate the NCP protest against the dissolution of the HoR has been formed under the leadership of NCP spokesperson Narayan Kaji Shrestha, according to Sapkota.
Following the dissolution of the HoR was dissolved on Dec. 20 by President Bidya Devi Bhandari on the recommendation of Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, the NCP has split into two factions, one led by Prachanda-Nepal opposing the move.
