By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Mar. 11: The police have arrested Devi Bahadur Gurung suspecting his involvement in causing IED explosion at the house of Gokul Baskota, former Minister of Communications and Information Technology, at Lokanthali, Bhaktapur this morning.
Gurung, who hails from Lamjung, is currently residing at a Jadibuti-based slum area.
Dipak Giri, Deputy Superintendent of Police of Metropolitan Police Range Bhaktapur, said, “The preliminary investigation has revealed that Gurung was Bhaktapur District Committee member of the outlawed Netra Bikram Chand 'Biplav'-led group.”
The ‘pressure-cooker’ bomb exploded at 7:50 am on Wednesday morning at Baskota’s house. The blast broke the glass panes of the window and the compound wall has also been damaged.
