By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Jan 26: The casting of votes for the National Assembly members has concluded.
The voting for 19 seats in the NA was conducted from 9 am to 3 pm today in all seven provinces.
The election was held to fulfill the 19 seats of the NA which are getting vacant on March 4. The tenure of eight NA members from CPN (UML), four from CPN (Unified Socialist), four from CPN (Maoist Center) and three from Nepali Congress is expiring on that date.
Of the 19 members, three will be elected from Province 1, two each from Madhesh and Bagmati provinces, three each from Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnalia, and Sudurpaschim provinces.
Spokesperson of Election Commission, Nepal, Shaligram Sharma Paudel informed that the voting was over in all seven provinces and that if everything goes as planned, the result of the vote will be made public by late evening today.
