Kathmandu, Nov. 23: The aviation business, which was halted due to the COVID-19 pandemic has been flourishing recently. According to the statistics of Tribhuvan International Airport, more than 22,000 passengers are being transported daily.
According to the airport, there are currently 286 daily domestic flights and 54 international flights. These flights carry 22 thousand 422 passengers comprising 15 thousand 378 domestic and 7 thousand 44 international passengers.
"According to the latest statistics, the number of passengers taking air services has doubled." Said Prem Nath Thakur, spokesperson of Tribhuvan International Airport.
At present, nine airlines operate domestic flights and 33 international airlines operate daily flights from and to Kathmandu.
