Kathmandu, May. 6: The Ministry of Health and Population has requested everyone to contact on toll-free number 1133 or mobile number 9851255837, 9851255839 if hospital beds are needed for the treatment of COVID-19 patient.
Issuing a notice, the Health Ministry called everyone to dial any of the helpline numbers if a virus-infected patient is to be admitted to the hospital.
Following a massive surge in the COVID-19 tally along with the spread of new variants, hospitals nationwide are facing a shortage of isolation beds.
On Wednesday itself, a total of 8,659 people were found infected with the virus and 58 fatalities were confirmed.
The ministry has informed that the helpline numbers for isolation beds would be active 24 hours.
