By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Aug. 2: The Ministry of Health and Population has mobilized a high level team under the leadership of Director General of the Department of Health for making necessary coordination to contain spread of infection of SARS-CoV-2 that causes COVID-19 in State 2.
State 2 has of late emerged as one of the worst affected states.
MoHP spokesperson Dr. Jageshwor Gautam informed in the daily press briefing on Sunday that a team led by Dr. Dipendra Raman Singh, DG of Department of Health was sent to State 2.
The team has already reached Birgunj of State 2 and the team will provide necessary instructions, assistance and coordination in cities and areas where number of infection is high in State 2, according to Dr. Gautam.
The Health Ministry spokesperson said that preparations were underway to send MoHP high level team in other affected States.
Of late, number of infections has been on the rise in an alarming way in Birgunj of State 2, Biratnagar of State 1 and some districts of Sudur Paschim State.
