By TRN Online, Kathmandu, May 11: Infection of COVID-19 has been confirmed in additional 13 people today, taking the tally of today's confirmed cases to 24.
It is the highest number confirmed in a single day so far. Earlier today, 11 people were confirmed to have been infected with the virus.
By issuing a press statement, Ministry of Health and Population informed that six people each from Kapilvastu and Rupandehi and one person from Bardiya had tested positive for the virus in PCR test done at National Public Health Laboratory (NPHL) today.
Six men aged 15, 19, 23, 30 and 38 of Yasodhara Rural Municipality-8 and Buddhabhumi Rural Municipality-9 of Kapilvastu, six men aged 24, 26, 27, 30, 32 and 40 of Samarimai Rural Municipality-7 and Lumbini Sanskriti Rural Municipality of Rupandehi and 11-year old girl of Rajpur-5, Bardiya were confirmed with COVID-19 infection.
With this, the number of COVID-19 cases in Nepal has reached 134.
