Kathmandu, Dec. 26
A model has escaped a death when she suspected the motives of the people taking her to Bihar, in India when she was asked about bruises in her body, mensuration and surgery.
The lady, who has been pursuing modeling career in Kathmandu got a back to back offer of modeling in Kathmandu and Biratnagar.
The model flew to Biratnagar on December 23 through Buddha Air plane. Two rooms (room no. 205 and 206) were booked for her in Kali Mandir’s Dharmashala in Biratnagar.
After getting the room booked, the people who were involved in so called modeling project had measured the height of the model.
While measuring her height, they had also asked her about her mensuration and whether or not she had undergone surgeries. The model found their questions suspicious and she had immediately informed her relatives about it.
When seven people involved in modeling project were taking the model across the border by manipulating her to buy clothes, the police arrested them.
The model had been successful to inform the police about the suspicious behaviours of the alleged offenders.
The model was close to be sacrificed.
The police, on Thursday have made public the names of the people involved in this heinous crime.
Krishna Tamang of Kawasoti, Nawalparasi, Umesh Shah of Saptari, Rajbiraj, Dil Kumari Budhamagar of Dang, Ghorahi, Dilip Podar of Biratnagar, Premmaya Tamang of Dhadhing Jharlang and Ranjit Kumar Chaudhari of Sunsari were arrested in the case.
As the arrestees had asked questions like whether or not the model was vegetarian, whether or not her mensuration had started and so forth, the doubt of being subjected to human sacrifice had increased.
Conducting a press meet, the Metropolitan Police Office said that the arrestees had planned to take the model to Bihar of India to scarify her body in A tantric ritual, by alluring her with money.
The police had presented the findings of their preliminary investigation in the press meet.
With a view to earn money, the arrestees had allured the 6 feet tall model with a modelling project.
“Arrestees Premmaya and Krishna Tamang had received Rs. 500,000 each. Tantric sages of Bihar had lured other arrestees with handsome money,” said the Police.
