By Gokarna Dayal, Baitadi, Feb. 9: The police have held an ambulance of Dilasaini Gaupalika, Baitadi, which was carrying a spotted deer (Chithal) carcass.
The Darchula police came across the ambulance with the deer’s carcass on Sunday afternoon, at Sailyasikhar Munucipality-7, Gokuleshwor Bazaar.
The ambulance, with registration number ‘Sudurpaschim Pradesh 01-001 Jha 346’ was held by the Area Police Office, Gokuleshwor, informed Khagendra Saud, Police Inspector.
“We have arrested Mahesh Bohara, who was driving the ambulance,” said Saud. “We have been preparing to handover the deer’s body to Forest Division Office.”
The driver has given a statement that he had killed the deer from a forest near Arjuni Barrack of Kanchanpur, while he was returning from Mahendranagar, the police informed.
