By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Mar. 26: Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) has beguan disinfecting the roads and public places in the city areas.
A team deployed by KMC sprayed disinfectant at Babarmahal, Baneshwor, Tinkune and Sinamangal area on Wednesday while Basantapur, Jamal, Lazimpat, Panipokhari and Maharajgunj area are being disinfected today by 10 tankers.
Dhanapati Sapkota, Municipal Police Chief, said that the private tankers would also be used from Thursday afternoon to cover greater area of the KMC for spraying disinfectant.
The disinfectant is made by mixing 40,000 liters of water with 140 liters of chlorine, said Sapkota.
"The disinfectors are being sprayed by prioritising areas with population density, hospital areas and areas with realtively greater flow of people," he added.
Likewise, KMC is also continuing to clean roads with broomers and waters.
