By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Oct. 1: The Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) on Thursday confirmed 943 new cases of COVID-19 in the Kathmandu Valley. This is the highest single-day tally recorded in the Kathmandu Valley until now.
In 12,444 Real-Time Polymerase Chain Reaction (RT-PCR) tests done in the last 24 hours, as many as 943 persons, 328 females and 615 males, were found with the novel coronavirus infection in the Valley itself, revealed the daily report released by the MoHP today.
Of the 943 new cases, 817 cases including 272 females and 545 males were detected in Kathmandu, 58 cases including 26 females and 32 males were found in Bhaktapur and 68 cases including 30 females and 38 males were recorded in Lalitpur.
Moreover, some 1,911 new cases of COVID-19 were confirmed across the nation on Thursday, taking the national tally to 79,278 including 57,389 cases of recovery and 509 death cases.
