By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Sept. 17: The Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) on Thursday confirmed 618 new cases of COVID-19 in the Kathmandu Valley.
In 10,641 Real-Time Polymerase Chain Reaction (RT-PCR) tests done in the last 24 hours, as many as 618 persons, 224 females and 394 males, were found with the novel coronavirus infection in the Valley itself," revealed the daily report released by the MoHP today.
Of the 618 new cases, 507 cases including 164 females and 343 males, were detected in Kathmandu, 50 cases including 29 females and 21 males, were found in Bhaktapur and 61 cases, including 31 females and 30 males were recorded in Lalitpur.
With today's new cases, total caseload in Kathmandu has reached 11,239 while that of Lalitpur and Bhaktapur is 1286 and 1136 respectively.
Moreover, some 1,246 new cases of COVID-19 were confirmed across the nation on Thursday, taking the national tally to 59,573 including 42,949 cases of recovery and 383 death cases.
