Kathmandu Valley records 182 new cases of novel coronavirus

By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Aug. 21: The Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) has confirmed 182 new cases of COVID-19 in the Kathmandu Valley today.

In 13,579 Real-Time Polymerase Chain Reaction Tests (RT-PCR) done in the last 24 hours, as many as 182 persons were found to be infected with the virus in the Kathmandu Valley itself, informed Dr. Jageshwor Gautam, spokesperson of the ministry in the daily press briefing today.

Of the 182 new cases, 142 were detected in Kathmandu, 25 were detected in Lalitpur and 15 were detected in Bhaktapur.

Moreover, some 838 new cases of COVID-19 were recorded across the nation in the last 24 hours, taking the national tally to 30,483 including 18,214 cases of recovery and 137 death cases.
