By Our Correspondent, Jaleshwor, July 30: Jaleshwor Municipality in Mahottari district has decided to shut down its office except for essential services from Thursday citing the rise in the COVID-19 cases.
In the notice issued by Ramu Raj Kaderiya, administration officer of the Jaleshwor Municipality, the municipality said, “The services of Jaleshwor municipality office will remain closed except for urgent services until further notice in order to prevent and control infection of the novel coronavirus."
The Municipality has appealed to the general public to help it by adopting precautionary measures against the risks of the spread of infection.
A few days ago, Mahottari Rural Mucipality Ward No. 3 had closed all services for a week following the death of a resident from COVID-19.
Fear of infection has gripped the locals after the transmission of the virus in 13 people including 10 Nepali Army officials deployed for the disposal of the dead body of COVID-19 victim and management of isolation center.
