Kathmandu, Feb 28: Health experts have said that it is about time to prepare for the next variant as there is unpredictability about the nature of the next variant, which can be more deadly than the Omicron variant.
Dr Santosh Dulal, Clinical Researcher, Anandaban Hospital, Lalitpur said that there is still a chance of a new variant to hit the country. Therefore, beforehand preparedness is a must to avoid future fatalities and casualties.
According to Dr Sher Bahadur Pun, Chief of the Clinical Research Unit at Sukra Raj Tropical and Infectious Disease Hospital said that the COVID-19 pandemic exposed both Nepal's weaknesses and strengths.
