Phungling fire update
By Chandra Pandak, Taplejung, March 11: An old woman has died after being injured in a fire that broke out at Phungling Bazaar in Taplejung district on Friday morning.
Chulimaya Limbu, 67, who was seriously injured in the fire, died while undergoing treatment. According to Chief District Officer Mahesh Kumar Pokhrel, Limbu, who was injured in the fire, was taken to the district hospital for treatment.
Limbu, who was admitted to the emergency room of the hospital for treatment, died at around 9:15 am, said CDO Pokharel. The fire burned most of Limbu's body.
Similarly, 16-year-old Rebina Limbu sustained minor injuries in the fire. He is undergoing treatment at the district hospital, police said.
