By Lokendra Joshi, Darchula, Feb. 12: Locals were panicked after a balloon with an Indian number was found in Dhamdera of Naugad Rural Municipality-3 of Darchula.
Locals who got information that the Indian helicopter used to fly in the Nepali sky were terrified after finding a balloon with the name and number of the Indian Meteorological Department.
It has been confirmed that the equipment including the balloon found in Naugad was sent by the Indian Meteorological Department.
According to the District Administration Office, Darchula, the Dehradun-based Meteorological Center has received information about the weather.
The Meteorological Center Dehradun has confirmed that equipment including balloons has been sent to collect information about the weather in Uttarakhand.
Anurag Negi, an assistant at the Meteorological Center, Dehradun, said that the balloon with the device was sent to find out the direction and speed of the wind.
