By A Staff Reporter, Kathmandu, Apr 4: The government has decided to prohibit human movement in all three tiers of the government.
A meeting of the Council of Ministers held today at the official residence of Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, Baluwatar took the decision.
The meeting decided to enforce a strict monitoring system and prohibit human movement from one State to another State, one district to another and from one local body to another, said Minister for Finance, Dr. Yuba Raj Khatiwada, who is also looking at the portfolio of Communication and Information Technology Ministry.
“The government decided so to prevent and control possible spread and transmission of the virus from human contact,” Minister Dr. Khatiwada said.
The Cabinet meeting further decided to conduct Rapid Diagnostic Test (RDT) of COVID-19 in Kailali, Kanchanpur and Baglung, in huge mass scale.
Minister Dr, Khatiwada also said that the decision as to extension of lockdown would be taken next week.
Dr. Khatiwada said that the cabinet meeting today reviewed the steps and measures taken by the federal government to contain the virus.
