By Navin Shishir BK, Baglung, Sept. 4: Minister for Home Affairs Ram Bahadur Thapa visited the flood hit area at Bobang in Baglung district and provided the victims with relief materials including tent, mattress, food grains and utensils on Friday.
The Home Minister who arrived here by a Nepali Army helicopter provided relief materials to those who have been turned homeless after the flood in the Bhujikhola rivulet on Wednesday midnight swept away their houses.
He said a relief amount of Rs. 200 thousand would be provided to each of the family which lost its member to the flood and instructed concerned agencies to make rescue and relief operation fast and effective.
He assured the victims that the government would rebuild all the damaged houses and physical infrastructures and the rebuilding would start in coordination among the federal, provincial and local governments as soon as details of the loss are received.
The Home Minister said the government would provide a sum of Rs. 300 thousand to each of victim family for rebuilding the house if they wanted to rebuild their houses themselves or else the government would rebuild the house for them.
