By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Mar. 10: Fagu Purnima (Holi) is being celebrated with much enthusiasm in the southern region of the country called Terai today by smearing colors to each other and exchanging best wishes.
The festival which marks victory of justice over injustice stands as one of the biggest festivals in the Terai region.
The atmosphere of the Terai region, however, was not as lively, if compared to previous years, considering the fallout of corona virus.
The Holi celebration mostly were limited within families and a few neighborhoods as many district administration offices had requested the denizens to mark the festival in a peaceful manner by adopting preventive measures against the possible infection of COVID-19.
