Kathmandu, Dec.9: The first dose of COVID-19 vaccines is being administered in the three districts of Kathmandu Valley.
According to the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP), the first dose is scheduled to be given to people above 18 years and pregnant women above three months. Covishield, Vero Cell, and Astra Zeneca vaccine are being given to the denizens.
The vaccine will be administered free of cost from 10 AM to 3 PM on working days in Kathmandu Metropolitan City and Lalitpur Sub-Metropolitan City. Meanwhile, in the Bhaktpur Metropolitan City, the vaccine will be given from 10 AM to 1 PM on all working days, and on Wednesday and Friday, the vaccine will be given from 11 AM to 3 PM.
The MoHP has requested the denizens to be their shots at their feasible vaccination centres, saying that the effective way to curb the deadly SARS-CoV-2 is from vaccination.
