By TRN Online, Kathmandu Apr. 26: The government has decided to extend the ongoing lockdown to stem spread of COVID-19 till May 7.
The meeting of Council of Ministers held today at PM's residence, Baluwatar, decided to extend the lockdown by 10 more days, that is, until May 7, informed Dr. Yubaraj Khatiwada, Minister for Communications and Information Technology.
The ongoing 35-day lockdown was supposed to expire on April 27.
The government has already extended the lockdown for three times prior to this.
Likewise, Dr. Khatiwada also informed that all the border points would be kept closed and international flights halted till May 13.
The number of COVID-19 patients in Nepal has reached 52 wherein 16 have been discharged.
The remaining patients are receiving treatment in isolation at various hospitals nationwide and their health condition is normal, informed Dr. Bikash Devkota, spokesperson for the Ministry of Health and Population.
