By TRN Online, Kathmandu, July 21: The government has decided to lift the nationwide lockdown, implemented from March 24 to curb COVID-19 spread.
The decision will come into effect from 12:00 AM tonight, said Dr. Yubaraj Khatiwada, Spokesperson of Nepal Government, Minister for Communication and Information Technology, in the press conference organised on Tuesday evening.
Likewise, all the short and long routed transportation services will come into operation from August 17, said Dr. Khatiwada.
Admissions for new sessions and examinations would be held from August 17, he added.
With the lift of the lockdown restrictions, the government has also permitted to continue training for sports, except those played in groups.
Moreover, operation of hotels, restaurants and booking for trekking and expedition would be allowed from July 30.
