By A Staff Reporter, Kathmandu, Jan. 9: The government has expressed serious concern over the recent development in the west Asian region.
Situation in the west Asia region has become volatile with the killing of Iranian General by US drone attack in Baghdad and the subsequent missile attack by Iran at US army bases in Iraq.
"Government of Nepal is following with serious concern the recent developments in the west Asian region," said the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in its press release issued on Thursday.
The ministry said that as there were a large number of Nepali migrant workers in the west Asian region, safety and security of Nepali migrant workers there was its utmost priority.
The government of Nepal has also called every sides to take restraints from every actions which would result in the escalation of tension in the region, thereby endangering peace and stability.
It has been a principled position of Nepal that all disputes and differences must be resolved through peaceful means, read the press release.
