By Uma KC, Rolpa, Apr. 30: Four children lost their lives when a stray bomb went off at Gairigaun in Triveni Rural Municipality-7 of the district.
Bijaya Khatri, 5, Lokiram Dangi, 14, Bimala Khatri 11 of Triveni-7 and Gaurav Nepali, 13, of Triveni-4 were killed in the blast, informed Deputy Superintendent of Police, Chitra Bahadur Gurung, District Police Office, Rolpa.
The kids had gone far from their village near a river to graze the cattle, he added.
The villagers had found the children covered in blood as soon as they heard the blast.
Another bomb was also found to have been planted in the area and Nepali Army's bomb disposal team is heading to the place, informed Kabiraj Budha, ward chair of Triveni-2.
DSP Gurung informed that the investigation into the incident was underway.
