By Pratik Ichchhuk Sharma, Salyan, Feb. 3: CPN (Maoist Center) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda' has reiterated that the Millennium Challenge Compact (MCC) will not be endorsed in its present form.
Addressing virtually the meeting of the party's Karnali Province meeting today, the former Prime Minister said that the MCC would not be moved forward without a national consensus.
He also viewed that the ruling alliance would not split over the MCC as the plot to reverse the country to regression, spoil the political environment and break the ruling alliance has already failed.
The Maoist Center Chair instructed the provincial committee of the party to come up with programmes focused on the rural areas and mobilise the party to that end as the country was heading towards the elections.
Speaking on the occasion, the organization department chief of the party, Janardan Sharma, also the finance minister, urged all the party leaders and cadres to be involved in production as only through production can the party be made well managed in the present context.
Every member of the party should be associated with production for building a base for socialism, he said.
Coordinators of all 10 districts of the province, members of the provincial committee, central committee members of the party from the province, leaders of the mass organization of the party took part in the virtual meeting of the party, according to the leaders of the party.
